Johnson Cattle Co. is a proud, family-owned and operated Simmental cattle ranch located in the heart of Northeastern Illinois. As a family, we have deep roots in the cattle industry. Both Madison and I (Lucas) grew up immersed in the world of 4-H, showing cattle at local and national levels. From a young age, we developed a genuine passion for raising cattle, which has only grown stronger over time.

Together, we’ve focused on raising Simmental cattle that not only have exceptional phenotype but also maintain strong maternal traits. We are committed to producing real-world cattle that work for our customers, blending performance and functionality seamlessly. Through the strategic use of embryo transfer, we have been able to make rapid advancements in our genetic consistency. By leveraging the genetics of our top donors and sires, we ensure that every animal we produce is of the highest quality, providing the best possible product for our customers.
